Skills & Experience || Join us if you have...
Work experience in social impact / development contexts: work at / with / for international development institutions, social or public agencies, non-profits and NGOs, mission-driven corporates, startups and social enterprises.Experience in emerging markets a plus: Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Latin America, etc.
HCD track record: work at design agencies, with design teams, and/or on design projects
Client services exposure: collaborating with clients, donors, funders, or key stakeholders
Ability and willingness to travel abroad for client work
Proficiency in English, written & spoken is required. French, Spanish, Swahili and/or Hindi a plus!
Responsibilities || What you’ll be up to over the course of your fellowship:
Client Projects: You will have opportunities to stretch your current skillset, learn on the fly, and manage your own work streams within project work. You will primarily collaborate on Dalberg Design and Advisor teams through various aspects of project implementation, from planning and logistics, to user research, to product design, to developing strategic frameworks and polished client deliverables. We will work with each fellow to assess their existing skills and expertise, and define how their goals and skills can best align with our pipeline of work.
Dalberg Design Studio Building: As a growing studio, part of our work is bolstering our internal capacity. We will work with our fellows to identify mutually beneficial projects within our emerging practice that may include marketing and communication, tool development, operational projects, business development, research, etc. You will also be actively encouraged to contribute to the growing thought leadership in this area of work, in any form (articles, presentations, videos, etc.)–based the project experiences you gain.
